Actor Rajesh Dhruva, who recently began learning to play the chenda melam, revealed that it took him 15 days to master the traditional percussion instrument from Kerala. Rajesh, known for his Kannada film debut in Shri Balaji Photo Studio, has now teamed up with director Sukesh Shetty for his upcoming project Peter, centered around the chenda melam. "In order to authentically portray the character, I decided to grasp the fundamentals of chenda playing. After a 15-day training period, I was able to acquire the necessary skills. Additionally, I underwent weight loss training to resemble a chenda artist," Rajesh shared.

The actor emphasized the integration of folk music seamlessly into the film's narrative to offer a fresh and captivating experience for the audience. "In today's competitive film landscape, it is crucial to engage viewers convincingly and make a compelling case for why they should choose to watch our movie," he stated. Despite his advancements in movies, Rajesh expressed his intention to continue acting in television as it provides a stable income. He acknowledged the importance of establishing a strong presence in the film industry before potentially shifting focus exclusively to one medium.
